FAQ

Do I need experience?

Not for general membership. Committee work is organisational. The research and engineering departments care about programming and analytical thinking, not trading experience.

How much time does MQR require?

Members attend whatever they want, with no minimum. Committee is the work of running events, sponsors, and comms. Research is typically 2–10 hours a week.

Is MQR for Maastricht University students only?

Primarily, yes. Reach out if you are at a nearby institution.

Is any real money involved?

All trading is simulated on paper accounts. No real money is involved.
